Doing the Work - Radical Solidarity for a Collective Future Workshop
This workshop explores radical solidarity through power sharing, mutual aid, and risk taking through the practices of organizers, scholars, and everyday people in resistance to injustice. Situated within an intersectional praxis, the session challenges the mainstream understandings of “allyship” and dares to imagine an intersectional approach towards a collective future. The workshop will invite participants to reflect on effective models for solidarity in community and organizational contexts. Care labour, transformative justice, cultures of accountability and interdependence are situated within the context of decolonization and Black liberation at all their intersections. Participants will explore how white supremacy cultures shape movements for resistance and challenge our iterative work of justice.
Please note that this is a virtual session and will not be recorded. You must attend live.
